Peace be still

"When I talk about peace, I may be using a different concept than what you are accustomed to. I don’t believe you can fight for peace. Nor can you defend yourself for peace. Nor can peace be purchased, owned or used for any purpose

I am grieving the violence and loss of life in my hometown of El Paso.
The community there as I know it taught me kindness, acceptance, joy and Corazon.
Words have power. I try and be mindful of the words I put into the world.
Today my words are-
Peace be still.
