Living from the Inside Out...

"Regardless of the circumstances" is the key here. Let's say the quality you want more of is happiness. If, for you, happiness depends on meeting the right person, or having the right job, or earning enough money, then your happiness is conditional. That's impractical spirituality - living from the outside in.

Practical spirituality is just the opposite - living from the inside out. True happiness isn't conditional; it doesn't depend on circumstances being just right.
