"If you would learn the secret of Soul Transcendence, look only for the good, for the Divine in people and things, and all the rest leave to God." John-Roger, DSS
Does that mean if an abuser gives the abused flowers the day after the violence that the abused should only look at the flowers to say what a wonderful man he is? Does that mean only look at the flowers to evaluate if you should stay in that relationship? To me that is denial, that is not intellectual honesty, that is "leaving your brains at the door."
There is a difference between judgement and discernment. It doesn't mean that the person doesn't need compassion and that they aren't working through their karmas to awaken to their divinity and eventually going into the Heart of God. It also doesn't mean you need to stay in an abusive relationship, or not look at all information to evaluate if you want to hire someone or put someone into a management position or to do a job. Those are evaluations.
You can continue to see the Divine in others, have compassion for them, hold for their growth and upliftment, but you can do that from a distance.
May we see the good in all, may we know that we all are divine, and may we be wise enough to take care of ourselves and find those people to participate with who love and honor us and lift us up and all else we can leave to God.
May you touch into your Peace today.
