I am reaching out to let my friends and family know about what is going on in my life.
Before going into detail, I want you to know that I view what I'm about to share with you as a great opportunity. I have had challenges before and they have always brought me greater awareness, compassion and depth both physically and spiritually.
I view this as another chance to go deeper into my awareness of what healing grace is and to awaken deeper to my connection with Spirit.
A few months ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Needless to say, it shook me.
I explored the traditional path and was presented with choosing between surgery or radiation along with other protocols, which would not be easy to go through. I was willing, but also did some exploration. Moving through my fear, I reached out to a good friend who had prostate cancer. He is a Western Medical Doctor, and after going through the traditional protocol, he strongly encouraged me to find another way. (Thank you God.)
This was perfect because I already had a sense that radiation or surgery wasn't for me, so I had lined up an appointment with another doctor, who my dear friend Leslie Boyer had used on her own miraculous healing journey. His name is Jason Miller and he is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
After meeting with Dr. Miller, I found myself moving from fear to excitement about my journey to heal and become even more healthy and vibrant. The protocol involves a 3 month holistic approach to strengthening and balancing my body, so that when I go through treatment, my body is ready to go after the cancer cells. I am looking at two possible leading edge treatments. One is called Tulsa Pro and the other other is called HIFU, using a high focused ultrasound. (Makes sense to me to use sound to heal.)
After that I will continue working with Dr. Miller for about 3 years to keep an eye on my progress.
An interesting synchronicity is that my daughter, Eyren, is going to the ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism to learn Traditional Western Herbalism, Vitalism, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. When we first heard about my condition Eyren stepped into assist me with an eating protocol and suggestions of what herbs and tinctures to take. She told me the majority of the suggestions she was making was from a person she saw at a conference named Donald Yance. He had written a well known book called HEALING AND CANCER, which Eyren had read and been impressed with. The synchronicity is that Dr. Jason Miller had worked with Donald Yance for a number of years after he had graduated from college working specifically on hundreds of cancer patients.
After much research, I have decided to go through a combination of alternative and leading edge Western and Eastern modalities, and unfortunately insurance does not cover it all.
After looking at office visits, treatment, supplements, and medication for the year, I am estimating costs beyond what my insurance will pay will be around
$25,000
I am asking for support in reaching my financial goal to cover those expenses insurance will not cover.
