Regret is like an anchor tied around your neck.
If your mind is continually going to "I wish, or only if, or damn, why did I do that?", that is a cycle of regret.
I view it as a cycle of hell.
To forgive yourself for any judgement you may have had on yourself, to have compassion for yourself like you would a child learning how to walk is a key to freedom.
Imagine you are learning how to ride a bicycle. If you fall off the bike and just sit there and beat yourself up, or go over how bad you are as a cyclist, or that why should you try? You will never learn or...
Let it go.
Forgive yourself.
Be aware of how you can do it better next time and ride again.
So what if "all happenings needed to be" to assist you in mastering your life, to learn how to overcome the world?
To then "move on to your glory and sublime reign.”
